Power to the Pelvis

Hello friends!

Here's your Power to the Pelvis newsletter for February! I really wanted to focus on self-care this month. Loving your body, loving your self, and taking time away just for YOU! I once heard that you should have a cup and saucer mentality when it comes to "filling your cup." You fill your cup enough that it spills over and the overflow goes into the saucer. What is in the cup is for YOU, and what is in the saucer is for everyone else. I'd love to hear what you do to fill your cup. Also, I hope you enjoy this month's tips!

* Tip of the Month: Taking time for YOU!

I'm not an Instagram influencer by any means... but I do love to post things that are important to me, like family pictures or adventures we're having, and of course pelvic health tips - like my 12 Days of Christmas series. I want to provide value to my clients and subscribers. This month it's all about the importance of self-care, and how to make yourself a priority in as little as 5 minutes at a time.

* Self-care quote:

When you recover or discover something that nourishes your soul and brings joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life. – Jean Shinoda Bolen

* YouTube I'm loving

Sonya Renee Taylor, author of The Body Is Not an Apology, reads an excerpt from her book about self-love, body positivity, and social justice. My Mother's Belly is a tribute to her mama, and one that speaks to my mama heart about loving your body, accepting the seasons and changes and "grooves" in your body, and from a pelvic floor side of things - letting your belly go! I hope to instill in my daughter that her body is beautiful, no matter what size or shape she happens to be.

* Just for fun - self-care reflection sheet from Passion Planner

This reflection worksheet is like a Mad Libs for self-awareness and your feelings. Take a moment and ponder on what you need to refill your cup. Maybe also think about what you need to say "no" to. I typically have a "say yes" mentality, but have really been trying to think about what I need to say "no" to, for my own sake, but also for my family.

Did you try any of these tips? I'd love to know what you think. I read every email! And if you have something you are curious about or want more information on, let me know... maybe I'll add it to my next newsletter!

See you next month!

P.S. Having a comfortable, clean lube is SUPER important. Good, Clean Love is one of my faves to use with clients. I like their Bio-Nude Ultra Sensitive personal lubricant. It's silky, smooth and great for sensitive tissues - Use code PROVIDER30 for 30% off your purchase.
